US Department of Homeland Security to speak on Cyber Security at PCC’s Oktoberfest

We’re excited to announce we’ve added a new session to our Oktoberfest seminar line-up.  Drew Batten of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will be presenting “Cyber Attacks on Critical Infrastructure: CISA’s Hands-On Experience and Insights.”

Analyst, Industrial Control Systems, Hunt and Incident Response Team, National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center
Drew Batten is an Industrial Control Systems Incident Response Analyst with the Department of Homeland Security Hunt and Incident Response Team (HIRT) within the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC). He is also an officer of the International Information System Security Certification Consortium, or (ISC)² Idaho chapter and a Cyber Warfare Operations Officer with the Air National Guard.
Prior to joining HIRT, he worked for the Industrial Control Systems Computer Emergency Response Team, the National Information Assurance Training and Education Center and the United States Air Force. A dedicated cybersecurity professional, Drew brings experience in several complementary roles including training, cyber surety, research, communications security, cryptography management, incident response, project management, network architecture design and review, risk management, vulnerability assessment, malware analysis, host based forensics, digital media analysis, memory forensics, and network analysis. His skill set and capabilities are foundational assets to NCCIC operations.
Drew is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Systems Security Certified Practitioner, GIAC Certified Industrial Control Systems Security Professional and holds several other cyber certifications. He holds a BBA in Computer Information Systems and an MBA with emphasis in Information Assurance.
